I bought this for my son for Christmas, thinking it would be a lovely present to keep him busy while away visiting family. I really wasn’t that impressed with it. My son, nearly 2 at the time has always enjoyed those Aquadraw magic mats, and this is a bit like that, but there are too many bits which fall out of their places and onto the floor (the roller and water holder thing for doing the magic water picture with does not fit properly into the elastic thing meant to keep it). The toy would interest younger children, but the age limit given means that they shouldn’t play with it. This toy could be really great with just a bit more thought put into it.

My daughter is going to love this. She is a big In the Night garden fan! There is little sheets for colouring in will bring my daughter hours of joy and the Aqua draw bit where upsy daisy appears will make her day! The only thig i would say is that you don’t say if you can get replacement colouring in sheets for the doodling bit of this product. It got to me in exellent condition and really quickly as well!

Had this for over a year now and it’s still a firm favourite with all 3 of my kids, ranging from 21 months to 7 years (the eldest plays hangman on it). Like the other reviewer said it’s great for car trips. The pen being on a string means it doesn’t get lost, but we have lost one of the four stamper shapes as they are not attached. This toy is very durable. It’s been trodden on, thrown about and had drinks spilled on it, but still works fine. Easy to recommend.

This is a lot of fun at first, but after time can still be pulled out in an emergency (especially travel) to give them something to do. A particularly good thing about this one is that it comes with little stamps, too, as well as the standard pen.

This sounds like it’s going to be really great for little boys who are interested in all sorts of gory things and teach them something – in reality it contains some plastic tubing, a plastic heart and so on – we did each thing once and have never used it again. I can’t say my son really learned anything much from it either that he didn’t already know, or that we couldn’t have taught him (for example that the heart pumps blood) using a balloon and a straw. About ten minutes fun in total.

For the money though there are cheaper more engaging gifts that can be bought. The main drawback for me was its reuseability. The idea is pretty good, and my child was engaged for a while. For the money though there are cheaper more engaging gifts that can be bought. The main drawback for me was its reuseability. Once used it has not been returned to and is almost useless to pass on.

really good model, NOT A TOY! Detail etc excellent. Be aware though this is NOT an easy model to make, also recommend use spray paints for the silver and gold (especially service and command module main body parts), brush painting produces a really shoddy result. Do not try and go for a build in one day, I spent several weekends working on it to get the best result, also good video link here which uses the model to explain the component parts:

This toy is great to occupy the kids through the long school holiday periods, it’s time consuming but the finished product always amazes the child.

I would not say that the toy is of use after the completion and the reason for this is that it is easily broken. A child can however create a little scenery of their own using a cardboard box and place the characters they have chosen to create and to fashion in their own little town or house that they have also created.

This toy should be used under adult supervision as the small parts can easily be swallowed.
