My daughter received this as a gift and was delighted with it, however, found it hard to mould. The greasy film it leaves on hands is unpleasant. The dough itself does not mould easily and reminds one more of used chewing gum than a craft product. And honestly, one might get more product if one used chewing gum!

Left to set overnight, the pieces my daughter made with my help were soft and slimy as though they had never been set. This from a product that says it sets in 30 minutes to an hour.

Horrible, horrible stuff and I just KNOW she won’t let me throw it out!

This product really is a load of old rubbish. It simply does not do what it says it does. My daughter was looking forward to making the jewellery and was VERY frustrated and upset when she tried over and over again without any success to make it. She did not get one piece of jewellery out of it. It just would not set she just ended up with a greasy, slimy mess. Not worth the child’s upset or your hard earned money.

I brought this for my Daughters 9th Birthday, she had already had a go at the flat pictures (sequin art) and found them quite easy, but after a while got a little bored.
However she has been pestering me for one of the 3d ones – which are of reasonable size and not so big that she will get fed up doing it.
I am pleased with the item, and have yet to discover what my Daughter will make of it!

Bit odd that this did not include black or white paint however, meaning you can't mix the colours (for example I wanted a pale pink)- I ended up buying those seperately which defeats the purpose of a starter set. Also you are completely left to your own devices, a little bit of a guidance booklet, with a few suggestions would not have gone amiss. I'll have to buy that seperately as well. Value wise – cant complain, the individual cost of this paint (over £4 per pot), means buying the set is saving by itself (10 paints included). Bit odd that this did not include black or white paint however, meaning you can’t mix the colours (for example I wanted a pale pink)- I ended up buying those seperately which defeats the purpose of a starter set. Also you are completely left to your own devices, a little bit of a guidance booklet, with a few suggestions would not have gone amiss. I’ll have to buy that seperately as well. Overall, still pleased with the value aspect – just wish a bit more though had gone into what would be useful for a complete beginner.
